The Forest Practices Board has received multiple submissions concerning the planned deactivation of Rady Creek Forest Service Road. These submissions are being assessed through the Board’s public complaints process.
The Board can assess complaints about compliance with the Forest and Range Practices Act and the Wildfire Act. This may include forest practices associated with road deactivation and applicable wildfire-prevention requirements. It cannot direct the Province to keep the road open, pause the work or make a particular recreational-access decision.
